Make it Yourself - Wedding Favors Wedding Lingerie Bag This craft was contributed by Aileen of Designs By Dru Materials Needed 1/2 yd. ivory moire, taffeta, or silk 1/2 yd. coordinating lining 2 yds. 1-1/2" wide white organza ribbon trim 3 yds. white satin cording with gold accent 1 yd. 1" wide Europa trim 1/2 yd. Light Pink ribbon 1 small snap closure Directions 1. Cut out one pattern piece from moire, taffeta or silk, and one out of        lining fabric. 2. With right sides together, sew lining to outside fabric. 3. Leave top "V" section open to enable inserting pleated trim. 4. Turn bag right side out through this open section. 5. Hand pleat 1-1/2" wide white ribbon trim. 6. Secure with machine or hand stitch. 7. Place pleated trim between the lining and the top fabric and hand stitch       closed. 8. Fold bottom of bag on fold line. 9. Pin at corners. 10. Insert white satin cording with gold trim on each side of bag. 11. Machine stitch cording into bag. 12. At "V" on top flap, hand stitch cording on both sides of Europa trim. 13. To measure, first lay wide ribbon down and adjust cording accordingly. 14. Stitch in place. 15. Make a small bow with pink ribbon and hand stitch at point of trim. 16. Stitch snap in place. 17. Turn bag right side out. 18. Whip stitch opening closed. Tissue Pouches For Your Guests This craft was contributed by Aileen of Designs By Dru Distribute these tissue pouches to your guests before the ceremony for their tears of joy. Directions To make a pouch, crease an 8 1/2-by-11-inch piece of sturdy yet pliable paper widthwise three times: 2 inches from the top, 5 inches from the top, and 1 inch from the bottom. Fold the first flap back, the second up, and the third down to make a cuff. Center a tissue on the sheet; fold back the sides where the tissue ends; weave the flaps into one another to secure. Turn over the pouch, and insert tissues. Decorate as desired: We stamped each pouch with a phrase and tucked in a phlox blossom. Birdseed Rose Bud This craft was contributed by Aileen of Designs By Dru Materials Needed Medium Weight Satin 18 Guage Covered Stem Wire Satin Rose Leaf Green Floral Tape Thread of Matching Color Birdseed Directions For each rose cut a 4.5" X 5" piece of bias satin, fold in half to form a 4.5" X 2.5" piece. Sew the raw edge with a ¼ seam allowance. Turn right side out to form a tube. With needle and thread, sew a gathering stitch at one end of the tube. Bend one end of a piece of wire to form a hook. Insert the hook through the gathering end of the of the satin tube and pull thread to gather the fabric around the stem. Wrap thread tightly several times around the gathered fabric, tie and clip thread. Wrap floral tape at the base of rose and stem. Stretch tape lightly as you go. Add leaves and continue to wrap stem until the desired length is reached. Fill rose with a small amount of birdseed, twist tip and tuck inside to form a rose bud.
