Meet the artisan Deborah SpenceAbout the Artist I'm GlassyLady, otherwise known as Deborah Spence. Currently, I live in Broken Bow, Nebraska. I've lived in a variety of other places as well, Chicago, Dallas, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Topeka, and Des Moines being the most well known. I live a quiet life with my husband and son. We enjoy a lot of time together as a family and are quite content living the small town life. A musician by training, complete with a Master's Degree, I've reinvented myself a bit. For many years, I had an interest in learning the art of stained glass, but circumstances prevented me. One day, the opportunity to learn presented itself in the most extraordinary way, so I knew that my time had finally come. I've been involved with weddings for more than 20 years. As a church music director, I've been actively associated with the ceremonial side of weddings in a variety of settings. Over the years, weddings have been a lively topic of discussion between my husband, Charles, a United Methodist minister and myself. My expertise comes from years of education and practical experience. I've studied organ, choral conducting, worship practice and theology and was awarded a Master of Sacred Music degree jointly from Perkins School of Theology and the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. I've been employed as a Music Director in Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopal, Christian Science, and Presbyterian churches where I was involved in music planning and worship service design. My wedding experiences range from Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Native American weddings in the churches of New Mexico's pueblos to civil ceremonies. Whether your wedding will be set in the context of a worship service or in a non-religious setting, my broad base of knowledge and experience is available to you courtesy of a-weddingday.com. I provide Bible verses appropriate for use in church weddings of any denomination. From our local post office (where there's rarely a line), I send orders to folks all over the world. I also take my creations to boutiques and shows across central Nebraska. Visit Glassy Lady's A-Wedding Day shop
